Class 201/E 1 (Locobase 21313)

Data from "Locomotiva a Vapor - Serie E1 (201)" diagram, photo, and specifications page, last accessed 8 March 2026. See also filhodaCP post "CP E1+CP 214, Regua, 1970" in flickr at [], last accessed 8 March 2026. Works number was 19339 in 1922.

FilhodaCP wrote that the E1 (formerly Minho e Douro 201) "spent many years as a shunter at Regua", a division point on the Corgo line. It entered service sized for the 900 mm (35.4") gauge, the 201's track expanded by 100 mm (4.2") in 1930.

The national railway purchased the 201 second-hand in 1943 after it had supported the construction of the port of Leixoes. It later went on display at Regua.
