Data from "Logging Locomotives", Record of Recent Construction #96 (Baldwin Locomotive Works, 1918), p. 12-13; and DeGolyer, Vol 62, pp. 360+. Works number was 51941 in June 1919. See [] for more information on Bon Ami.
Bon Ami, Louisiana was the headquarters of the KR Lumber Company which lumbered in southwestern La until the mid-1920s. This cabbage-stacker ran on wood, of which 3 1/2 cords filled the tender.
When the mill closed, the railroad did too and presumably the 48 went off to other work as well.
