Data from DeGolyer, Vol 73, pp. 375+. Works number was 57071 in September 1923.
Built by Baldwin for its export stock holding, this low-drivered Consolidation was sold to the M&DC when expected Cuban orders failed to materialize. (See Locobase 11734 for a 1920 delivery of a Mogul to the M&DC under similar circumstances.)
The M&DC sold the 201 to locomotive rebuilder/reseller Southern Iron & Equipment who shortly sent it along to another such purveyor, Birmingham Rail & Locomotive. BR&L found a buyer in the Frankfort & Cincinnati, then headquartered in Kentucky's capital city. The F&C gave it road number 10.
