Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 22, p. 1. Works numbers were 16386-16387 in December 1898.
The second of these small Ten-wheelers was named Kahuka. They faced curves of 75 metres radius and scaled grades of up to 4 1/2% (238 ft/mile)..
Both locomotives had long careers. Kahuka was scrapped in 1936 while Waialua carried on until 1948.
