To be completed by 2030 and become the 53rd of the T-1 class. 5550 will burn oil, be equipped with MU capability, have a wheel-slip alarm, have positive train control, and use Franklin Type B2 rotary-cam poppet valves.

Cooke Locomotive & Machine Works #2341, 1896 Named William S. Davis. Nicknamed Puffy. Once operated at the Texas State Railroad as their 200. Taken out of service in early 2016. Boiler being replaced. Currently in the shop near the turntable undergoing a very slow restoration.
